Spiced Sausage and Biscuits

Ingredients

2 tsp Thyme leaves, dried

2 tsp Oregano, dried

1 tsp Granulated Garlic

1/2 tsp Nutmeg, ground

1 tsp Black pepper, ground

1/2 tsp Red pepper flakes, crushed

25 ea Morningstar Farms® Original Veggie Sausage Patties

25 ea Buttermilk biscuits, 2” baked, split

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, rub together the thyme, oregano, garlic, nutmeg, black pepper and red pepper flakes. Break up the leaves into small, crushed pieces

  2. Line the sausage patties in a single layer on a sheet pan lined with paper

  3. Spray the sausages with nonstick spray evenly

  4. Sprinkle ¼ tsp of the spice mix on top of each sausage patty, spreading out evenly as best as you can

  5. Cook the sausage patties at 350°F for 10 minutes, they should be hot in the center, at 165°F or above

  6. Split the biscuits in half and place one sausage patty in the middle of each

  7. Serve held hot at 140°F or above for service
