Marinara Sauce

Plant-Forward, Red Orange Vegetable

Yield: 10 Cups

Ingredients

1/2 c Olive oil, light

3 qt (#10 can) Marinara sauce, enhanced, Red Gold

1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes, crushed

1 tsp Italian seasoning, dry

Method

  1. Pour the marinara sauce into a 6” deep hotel pan

  2. Sprinkle the seasonings on top of the sauce

  3. Pour the olive oil on top and do not mix together

  4. Bake in a 350F oven for 25 minutes, the top will get dark in color and the edges will get very dark as well, this is expected

  5. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 30 minutes

  6. Whisk the sauce to mix everything together well and then transfer to a storage container

  7. Chill to below 40F within 2 hours

  8. Store chilled at 40F or below with a lid and labeled
