Acenette Gonzalez ’14 is the Executive Chef for Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD in Texas. Since beginning her career in Child Nutrition in 2018 as a Cafeteria Manager for Plano ISD, she has progressively advanced in the field. Her journey continued as a Supervisor/Chef in Irving ISD, leading to her current role as Chef Coordinator at Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD.

Acenette’s extensive background includes experience in opening restaurants, working in high-volume hotels, and serving as a Board Member for urban gardens. She has also worked as a chocolatier and successfully ran her own small business. These diverse experiences have uniquely equipped her for her current position, where she develops innovative recipes, trains employees, procures local foods, and implements effective marketing strategies for the child nutrition department.

As a proud member of the Healthy Kids Collaborative, Acenette is dedicated to continuous learning and sharing her passion for nutrition and culinary arts.
