Healthy Flavors,

Corporate Member Opportunities

The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) invites a limited number of foundations, associations, and companies to participate in the support of the CIA’s Healthy Kids Collaborative. Preference for Corporate Members will be given to companies and associations whose products best align with current nutrition research and guidelines about foods and beverages for optimal health. The Culinary Institute of America also welcomes support through academic grants.

We hope you will join us to work collaboratively with school nutrition professionals on strategies and resources to help increase healthy, flavorful menus for children in K-12 schools.

Testimonials

“Our focus for the K12 segment is to offer nutritious and convenient restaurant-inspired products that kids love. We thoroughly enjoy working with The Culinary Institute of America’s Healthy Flavors, Healthy Kids initiative to advance healthier, more exciting food choices in schools. And while we recognize that the food served in America’s schools is neither the problem nor the solution to our childhood obesity problem, we know that the cafeteria is an important opportunity to teach kids about healthy eating.”

– Michael Turley, VP & GM Food Service Government
Tyson Foods, Inc. (2012, 2013, and 2014 Sponsor)

“Sponsoring and attending Healthy Flavors, Healthy Kids has put Truitt Family Foods at the center of the conversation regarding healthier food options for kids. Collaborating with top Chefs, Food Service Directors and the USDA has been invaluable as we develop healthy, flavorful products that address the new CN guidelines for K-12 – and importantly that are appealing to kids. At the end of the day, introducing healthy, flavorful food options will eventually drive to healthier consumption habits for kids; and that’s something we want to be a part of.”

– Peter Truitt, Founder & Co-Owner
Truitt Family Foods (2013 Sponsor)

"As a supplier, we were very pleased with the quality and diversity of attendees and had lots of opportunities to connect with current (and hopefully future) customers. We appreciate hearing from those “on the line” as well as influencers and trendsetters what we are doing right as an industry, and what needs improvement."
