Fried Shrimp Po Boy with Glaze

Lettuce

Tomato

Hoagie Roll

Katsu Special Sauce (recipe follows)

Pickled Onion (find the recipe here)

Kikkoman Oyster Sauce

Honey

Ginger, minced

Garlic, minced

Soy Sauce

Kikkoman Katsu Sauce

Mayo

Sesame Oil

Sriracha

Lemon Juice

Method

Day Prior to Service:

Pickle onions.

Day of Service:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. Add shrimp to parchment lined sheet pan.

  3. Place shrimp in oven for 15 minutes or until crispy and internal temperature reaches 165°F.

  4. Remove pan from oven and set aside.

To assemble the sandwich:

  1. Spread hoagie with special sauce on both sides.

  2. Place leaf lettuce onto bread.

  3. Line sliced tomatoes on top of leaf lettuce.

  4. Top with 8 slices of pickled onion.

  5. Add fried shrimp on top of veggies on hoagie roll.

  6. Drizzle glaze on top of shrimp.
